We have existed since 2013 and Obmondo's goal as a free service, is to enable anyone to get and manage a perfect server or Kubernetes setup, completely customizable through online configuration tool.

Trips every 6 months
When working in a fully remote setup, meeting in person becomes very important. We get everyone to a new place, every 6 months and have a work-week together. Typically we go to a city where a colleague lives.

Genuinity
We are looking for a colleguage who enjoys learning something new every day and is genuinely invested in the role and eager to grow with us. We put significant effort into ensuring a smooth onboarding process and expect candidates to respect this by upholding their commitments.
Good Communication
Our company operates 100% remotely and asynchronously, ensuring everyone feels included. We rely on self-hosted Mattermost for chat communication, with Signal as a backup. Our culture includes daily online standups to kick off the day and sharing ideas through braindumps while working.
Team Collaboration
You will be working with colleagues who will be able to help you, when you're stuck trying to solve a puzzle. There are no stupid questions — as long as you remember to ask them — we'll gladly assist so you learn, and expect you to start helping your colleagues, when you know the answer.
Accountability
Every change is made through a proper system configuration tool, ensuring full visibility of changes at any time. By adhering to GitOps principles, we maintain transparency and accountability. This means EVERYONE can clearly see what changes occured on ANY production system at ANY time.
Our approach to remote work
Our team works remotely across Denmark, India, and Kenya, where the only requirement is a working internet connection. We communicate primarily via Mattermost (an open-source Slack alternative with a mobile app) and email, with voice/video chats as needed.
Because we work for many different customers, we register the time we work on each ticket and never leave a ticket we work on — without writing in our personal braindump-channel what we're stuck on and what we've tried. We believe in consensus driving decisions—get two colleagues to agree, and you're likely on the right track. We are the Borg—communication is key to victory.
Our Tech Culture
We expect you to be proficient in Linux, skilled in several programming languages, and eager to learn something new every day. The ideal candidate acknowledges their knowledge gaps, distinguishes between knowing and believing, and avoids making assumptions.
We work with diverse technologies like Linux, Kubernetes, Puppet, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Prometheus. To improve and contribute to the software we use, we also code in Clojure, Ruby, Python, Go, Bash, and JavaScript.
