Office

Write documents, build spreadsheets and present slides in the browser. Several people can edit the same file at once, and the files stay in your own Nextcloud.

What stays in your control

  • Files live in Nextcloud on disks you control, not in a vendor cloud.

  • Collabora Online, the editor Obmondo runs today, saves new files as ODF by default. You can switch to .docx, .xlsx and .pptx when you exchange files with people who use Microsoft Office.

  • Euro-Office is an alternative editor for the same Nextcloud: a fork of the ONLYOFFICE code (AGPL-3.0) backed by Nextcloud, IONOS, Open-Xchange, Proton, XWiki and others. It is not part of the Obmondo platform today.

  • Its first stable release came on 2026-06-09. ONLYOFFICE, the original project, disputes the fork.

Open-source apps behind it

  • Collabora Online
  • Nextcloud
  • CryptPad
