Why the name Obmondo
Obmondo comes from observe and mondo, which means world. We observe your servers and clusters wherever they run, in a public cloud or in your own data centre, and react when something goes wrong.
Two ways to start
Keep your current server
Add the server and run one command, and monitoring starts on what you run today. Then we review its setup with you. If we can maintain it, we adjust the setup together. If not, we recommend a new server.
Give us a new, empty server
Order one from your hosting provider or set one up in your own data centre, and give us access. We build it on LinuxAid, the open-source setup we maintain, and move your services over with you, one at a time.
Why we recommend it
- Your current server may already be compromised, and there is no way to be certain it is not.
- It is much faster to build a new server we can maintain and move your services to it than to repair the one you have. Repairing a server while it runs is like open-heart surgery.
For Kubernetes, KubeAid, which is free and open source, builds a new cluster on blank servers in your own Hetzner account.
Built for Azure, AWS, Hetzner and your own hardware, bound to none
Start on the cloud you use today, Azure included. We run your servers and clusters on LinuxAid and KubeAid, our two open-source platforms, which work on Azure, AWS, Hetzner and your own hardware.
Every server we fully manage, and every cluster, is written down as code in a Git repository that stays yours.
When you want to move to a European provider, we build the same servers and clusters there from that code and, if your plan includes backup, restore your data from it.
You are not tied to us either. The subscription runs month to month, and because the platforms are open source, another company or your own team can take over.
What we look after
We install the security fixes for known vulnerabilities (CVEs), keep your server securely configured, and observe & react 24/7 to its alerts.
CVE fixes and configuration need us to manage the whole server. Reacting outside business hours needs Gold or Platinum.
We keep your cluster and KubeAid up to date, can scan the apps you run for known vulnerabilities (CVEs), and observe & react 24/7 to its alerts.
Scanning is off until we switch it on for your cluster, and updating your own app images stays with you. Reacting outside business hours needs Gold or Platinum.
