How Obmondo Fits Into SKI 02.22

SKI 02.22 is designed to support partial outsourcing and hybrid operational models, where organisations keep ownership of their infrastructure while outsourcing specific parts of their operations. This matches how Obmondo works: we take responsibility for operations, while hosting and applications remain under the customer’s control.

Under SKI, customers can mix internal IT, multiple vendors, and specialised operators. Obmondo fits naturally into this structure by managing the stability of the operations layer - security updates, monitoring, backup strategy, and day-to-day infrastructure operations, without taking over the entire stack.

Not a full service provider - by design

Most suppliers offer full outsourcing, taking over hosting, servers, platforms, and application operations. Obmondo deliberately does not work this way.

We focus solely on the operations layer and provide guidance on the rest, while avoiding ownership of your hosting or applications. This keeps you in control of your infrastructure, data location, security posture, and vendor choices - the core elements of digital sovereignty.

This approach fits directly within SKI 02.22’s intention, where parts of the operation remain internal, parts are outsourced, and suppliers deliver clearly defined components rather than full stacks.
